Application Process
How to Apply to Live at Summit Village
Please Note: Due to the long list of single persons already preapproved, we are presently not taking more applications for one-bedroom units until January 1, 2026. Until then, we are only taking applications for couples seeking two-bedroom units.
All requests for housing at Summit Village are to be submitted in writing, using our form to request an in-person interview. The form may be submitted either online or by mail. After receiving the application form, our membership committee will contact the applicant(s) for an in-person interview. This will give the applicant(s) the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about membership and provide the applicant(s) with a fuller understanding of what membership in Summit Village entails.
After the interview with a prospective resident is concluded, the application will be reviewed by the board of directors. The applicant(s) will receive written confirmation of acceptance or rejection within seven business days after the next board meeting.

Once accepted, the applicant(s) will be added to the list of those awaiting the availability of a suitable suite. Once offered an available suite, the applicant(s) may accept or turn down the suite. If they turn down the offer, they will be offered another suite when one comes available. However, if this second suite is turned down, the application process will be considered terminated.
Members are required to purchase a nominal, one-time share in the co-op at the time of their acceptance. This share will be re-imbursed to the resident or his/estate in the event the resident chooses to leave Summit or is deceased. Suites are rented to the residents for a monthly rent set by the board. Rent includes heat, water, internet, cable tv, and garbage and recycle disposal.
