Who We Are
About Us
Summit Village is a Christian independent-living, cooperative housing community for couples and singles aged 55+. No health care or food services are offered on site. It is a working co-op, which requires all co-op members, while they are able, to contribute their time to one or more of the committees set up to oversee and ensure the safety, upkeep, and running of the complex. Committees include building maintenance, gardening, library, social activities, security, and others.
Summit’s mission statement: Our mission is to provide affordable housing for residents who can live independently and are willing to use their gifts in the service of our Co-operative. We intend to maintain a Christian environment and to act in keeping with Christian values: equal respect for all, compassion for those in need, and service to each other. We seek to promote a sense of co-operative ownership and responsibility of all members of our Summit Village Housing Co-operative.
